Can I get a sun shirt with UPF100?
Not from reputable sun shirt sellers. Because no such thing exists. If someone does try to sell you a sun shirt with a UPF100, run for the hills. Or better yet, run to our selection of sun shirts. They’re UPF50, which is the highest rating you’ll find for UPF clothing that is light, airy and enjoyable to wear.
The highest rating for fabrics is UPF50+.
Australia gets credit for being the first place to start rating fabrics for sun protection, a practice they began in the 1990s. And even with American’s penchant for more, you can’t get any higher than UPF50+ for sun protection fabrics.
